'Apple Watch' Release Date, Price & Cost: Gold iPhone Confirmed? Luxe Gold Phone to Match New Watch [Rumors]

Apple's newest smartphones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, along with the Apple Watch have elevated the status of the company to a luxury brand.

With this transition, there is a report that the next-generation iPhone will be designed to compliment the high-end Apple Watch. The IB Times reports that the new smartphone expected to be released in 2015 -- referred to a the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 -- will most likely "reflect the new image."

To give the public an idea of what a gold iPhone could look like, Martin Hajek, a veteran iPhone render creator shared his idea. Hajek's render isn't a mere casing accessory for the device, the images reflects a gold structure for the popular smartphone series.

"How about a nice new rose gold iPhone 6s to match your new Apple Watch," wrote Martin along with the 3D Apple concept phone.

There are three distinct collections, the Watch, Watch Sport and the Watch Edition.

The Watch series is made of stainless steel cases with sapphire crystal with a range of band options. The Watch Sport is made of anodized aluminum cases (silver or space gray) geared for a more durable and active lifestyle. The third and most exclusive would be the Watch Edition made of 18-karat gold cases in yellow or rose. They're "exquisite crafted" and made with sapphire crystal.

All Apple Watch models have two sizes, a 38mm and 42mm variant. The most affordable watch starts at $350 with the high-end reaching $17,000.

The Apple Watch is scheduled to be available for purchase in stores mid-April and reports indicate that Apple employees are undergoing sales training to market the items, especially for its luxury line edition that begins at $10,000.

9to5Mac has detailed Apple's sales strategy in its newest article and as part of the plan, only Apple's top sales employees will be handling the sales of its ultra-luxe wearable tech.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has stated (quoted by The Verge) that the device will be "the first modern smartwatch - the first one that matters."

Pre-order for the Apple Watch begins April 10 and Apps will be available via the Apple Watch Store. More information on the Apple Watch is available over Apple's website.
