Microsoft console fans of the first-person shooter game, "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," would be excited to learn that a new update is coming soon to their consoles. Word is out that the new "Ascendance DLC" would be available at the end of March.
Eurogamer shared that the second update to the latest game by Sledgehammer Games would bring more chapters, features, and locations to explore to the players.
Players could expect four main things from the upcoming DLC. One new feature of the "Ascendance DLC" is the new multiplayer maps, which show four new locations to be explored.
The maps include Site 244 near Mt. Rushmore. The area was set-up with a stage near the crash site of what seemed to be a UFO. Climate, a human-controlled environment, is the location of a huge river that diverse in different smaller bodies.
Meanwhile, Chop Shop is an industrial complex that is a known front for black market dealings. Finally, Perplex is an apartment complex with five floors located in Sydney.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated part of the new pack is the arrival of more zombies to beat and kill. The "Ascendance DLC" would usher in the second chapter of Exo Zombies.
Game Spot reported that Activision described this feature as, "Located on the outskirts of an Atlas facility, the new Exo Zombies episode introduces a slew of never-before-seen undead masses, a robust arsenal of new traps and armaments and everyone's favorite fast food joint, Burgertown."
Old playable characters of John Malkovich, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal, and Bill Paxton would return to rid the location and the earth of these undead, said IGN.
With new locations and challenges the players would face, it is about time that they are armed with powerful weapons. The new pack would introduce the OHM directed energy light machine gun hybrid and the OHM Werewolf custom variant.
No description was made about the new weapons, and it remains to be seen how powerful they are when utilized.
Lastly, a playlist called, "Exo Grapple," would also be available to players. It was described to give "players a faster way to reach strategic vantage points or a brutal secondary weapon to take down the competition, exclusively on Ascendance maps."
The new DLC is available in two options. First, as part of the "Advanced Warfare DLC" pass which is priced at $50 or as a separate pack for $15.
The update would be released to Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles on March 31. Moreover, it is said that Sony PlayStation consoles and PC would follow. No date was given for the Sony release.
