Variety was first to report about this Hollywood Hills property which found itself listed on the real estate market for a shade under $13 million, and was a subject of numerous speculations linking it to actor and scientologist, Tom Cruise.
As it turned out, uncovering the true identity of the owner wasn't to such extent as a "mission impossible"; the real estate rumourmongers were right all along. The LA Times has confirmed that the mansion was, indeed, owned by the Hollywood "top gun".
The European-inspired luxury villa breathes off seclusion as it was tucked behind high gates and thick foliage on one side. Apart from the main house, a four-bedroom guest house is also situated within the 2.5 acres of lot composed of two parcels. The owner's abode, on the other hand, has three beds with each one equipped with their own en-suite bathrooms.
The Daily Mail notes that the primary structure has a touch of "rustic Tuscan meets modern feel". It also has windows made out of glass to make the most out of its sweeping 280-degree views of the Sunset strip and the Hollywood Hills. The floor of the house is constructed using wide plank oak floors while the walls were plastered in elegant Venetian.
The house is powered and operated using the sophisticated Lutron and Crestron systems. On the outside, the property has pathways made out of stone, a waterfall, a spa, and a manmade lagoon of a swimming pool.
Meanwhile, the "A Few Good Men" and "Jerry Maguire" lead actor will reprise his role as the slick and crafty U.S. secret agent Ethan Hunt in the fifth instalment of the action film series Mission Impossible. As was previously reported, the film will be shown on July 31st of this year. Jeremy Renner will also lead the way for the "Ghost Protocol" holdovers which includes Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames. The cast of M.I.5 will be bolstered by the film newcomers Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, and Sean Harris.
Rumor has it that the schedule was fast tracked in order to stay clear of Sony's forthcoming James Bond motion picture, "Spectre", and another J.J. Abrams-produced film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens." Both films are due to be released on the big screen at the latter part of the year.
