Rumor has it that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin might be heading for a divorce pretty soon. According to News Everyday, their differences might have crept up on them and created a great divide between the newlyweds.
Clooney was recently spotted in Upper East Side’s Kappo Masa, a Japanese sushi joint that is a usual haunt for the Clooneys, as they were last seen in the restaurant only a couple of weeks ago, according to PEOPLE. Now, though, it looks like Clooney opted to dine at their usual dating spot without his wife.
In her place was his co-producer for “Money Monster,” Grant Heslov. “Money Monster” is a Jodie Foster-directed film that the “Batman” will be starring in and co-producing. The New York Post pointed out that the movie compelled him to stay in New York City for several months.
Alamuddin is allegedly not impressed at all with Clooney’s fame. According to multiple online reports, the British human rights lawyer would much rather be out of the spotlight. The tabloids as well as the paparazzi have reportedly caused her to have second thoughts regarding her decision to marry Hollywood’s hottest bachelor.
Four months into married life and after a relatively short courtship period, it is highly likely that the couple realized that they have very few things in common. The duo’s astronomical differences might have caused them to contemplate getting a divorce.
One other thing that Alamuddin is very much upset about is Talia Balsam’s decision to detail her botched marriage with Clooney for an HBO show, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry. Balsam is Clooney’s first wife, who separated from the actor in 1993, which was shortly before his quick climb to fame.
According to the report, Balsam has been feeding the show’s writers a lot of information regarding her split from Clooney. In addition, Balsam herself will be starring in Sarah Jessica Parker’s HBO special, “Divorce.”
Despite all these divorce rumors, Ellen Barkin, Clooney’s close friend says that there is no trouble in paradise. She claimed that she was not even surprised when her “Ocean’s Thirteen” co-star settled down, according to Us Weekly.
“I always felt he would,” Barkin said about Clooney on Bravo TV's “Watch What Happens Live.” “I felt he was just waiting ‘til he felt like he wanted to. She takes great care of him and all his friends.”
