Apple has just come forward with a new MacBook, which is described to be the thinnest Mac ever to be manufactured by the American tech mogul company. However, despite its impressive specs, The Fuse Joplin is convinced that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is rumored to be out by July, is much better.
The new MacBook sports a 12-inch Retina display and is only 0.88 millimeters thick. It features a 2304 x 1440 pixel resolution, which means that its platform is suitable for viewing texts, videos, images, and documents. Due to its thin feature, it makes use of a Type-C USB port as its primary connectivity, with a data transfer speed of 10 GBPS, and charging option.
Although its rival device has not even been launched yet, a separate The Fuse Joplin report has already started to compare the two. Rumor has it that the new Apple MacBook, which GizMag said will be priced at $1,300, will come out in two variants. One will have a 1.1 GHz Intel dual core processor, while the other will feature a 2.4 GHz Intel processor, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GV of flash storage.
According to the report, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which PC Pro said has a price tag of nearly $2,700, will also be released in two different versions. The first one will have a smaller 12-inch screen, while the other will feature a 14-inch display. Both of the models will have a 2160 x 1440 display, which puts it at par with the devices from Apple. The unit’s basic models will sport Intel M processors, but there are more expensive versions that sport the i5 and i7.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features that are reportedly set to take the crown from Apple’s MacBook will be exclusive mobile features. Since the Surface Pro 4 will come with a digital stylus, its user can easily take notes even on the go. Apart from that, the user can also draw and color images, as well as create business presentations, despite being mobile.
This particular feature, which has already been incorporated into the Surface Pro 3, will have been further developed when the Surface Pro 4 comes out. If the rumored specs of the upcoming Surface Pro 4 come into fruition, then it will be making a significant impact in today’s market, beating the MacBook, according to the Fuse Joplin report.
However, since the Apple iPad Pro has been allegedly slated for a September release, it remains to be known if the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 can manage to hold on to that top spot once the new Apple device is launched. Here's a comparison of the current-gen Surface Pro and the iPad Pro:
