Pop star Miley Cyrus is one unlucky person in love. It seems that the 22-year-old called it quits with boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger after rumors of him cheating on her over spring break surfaced.
The pair came out in public officially as a couple in December 2014 and were inseparable since then. However, a rift in their relationship came after the 21-year-old model spent a wild vacation in Mexico with some friends.
Photos of Schwarzenegger getting cozy with not one but two different ladies while in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for spring break reportedly triggered the split.
According to US Magazine, the 21-year-old University of Southern California student was pictured getting too close to a sorority girl. Her identity was determined based on the print of the scarf she wore which said, "Kappa Kappa Gamma."
One photo showed the two looking at each other while the girl slung her hands on Schwarzenegger's neck with their bodies pressed against each other. Another photo showed the bikini-wearing girl walking around with her arm anchored on Arnold Schwarzenegger's son.
Perhaps the most racy of the photos were one in which the model was pictured taking a body shot from the girl near her bikini area.
However, Cyrus' boyfriend was quick to deny that he cheated on the Disney alum. In a report inHuffington Post, he took to Twitter to explain what happened.
"Omg. It's one of my best friends girlfriend...Would NEVER do anything against my GF...Girls have guy friends and guys have friends that are girls," he tweeted.
The model reportedly returned to the United States immediately to patch things up with Cyrus.
However, it seemed that the cheating issue is far from over as new photos of Schwarzenegger with another girl began to circulate online. This sparked the rumors that he cheated on "The Party In The USA" singer more than once.
During the same spring break vacation, Schwarzenegger was seen getting too close with ex-girlfriend, Taylor Burns, noted Hollywood Life. So close were the duo that she was photographed slathering his back with sunscreen lotion.
It was reportedly the last straw for the singer. A source close to the matter told Hollywood Life, "As soon as she saw the pictures, she broke up with him."
Schwarzenegger was reported to have been trying his best to patch things up with Cyrus but the singer refused to answer his calls.
The two have not made any official statement to clear the status of their relationship.
