“The Walking Dead” last Sunday left its audience shocked, with a very explicit memory of how Noah was devoured by the walkers. The episode left fans hanging, especially with how Father Gabe suddenly warned Deanna that Rick and the rest of the gang were bad news for the community.
Noah, played by Tyler James Williams, was killed off in last week’s episode, leaving Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, immensely traumatized, as reported by Melty. Glenn was looking right at Noah while the latter was being chewed on by the zombies. After how Glenn’s character was left traumatized by what he witnessed, Williams “wouldn’t be surprised” if Negan suddenly arrived and beat Glenn to death.
Additionally, an argument between Rick, played by Andrew Lincoln, and Pete escalates into a full-on rumble. Jessie, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, and Carl try to step in to stop the fight but Pete hits Jessie instead, as reported by The International Business Times.
Witnessing this exchange, Rick charges towards Pete and is about to kill him when Deanna comes in and attempts to stop the fight. Rick, absolutely enraged by now, points his gun at Deanna.
“You fight or you die,” he said. “I’m not going to stand by.”
True enough, the next minute he was flat on the floor after Michonne knocked him unconscious. It was also around this time that Sasha, who was assigned at the tower, was busy knocking down walkers about to come near the gates of the Alexandria Safe Zone.
Comic Book pointed out that in “The Walking Dead” Season 5 Episode 15, entitled, “Try,” the group will start to realize that their lives inside the walls of the Safe Zone were not very different from the unsheltered lives in the woods.
Apart from having to fend walkers off from the walls of Alexandria, they also have to conform and survive in a community filled with suspicious strangers.
After the events of last season, Deanna has to mourn the death of her son, Aiden, who died during an errand. He died after Nicholas ran away and refused to help in rescuing him in fear of getting bitten by the walkers. However, he changed the story when he got back from the trip, washing his hands off any responsibility regarding Aiden’s death.
A separate The International Business Times detailed that Carol makes Deanna a casserole, with a note that said, “I’m truly sorry for your loss.” However, Deanna burned the note after Father Gabe convinced her that Rick’s group should not be trusted.
