Seven days before the "Ascendance DLC" hits the "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" and fans are already anticipating the new features and challenges players would face on the game. Rumors circulated that players could finally expect a new kind of weapon that would bring their game up to the next level.
It was earlier reported by Game Spot that Sledgehammer Games and Activision finally confirmed the latest and second update for "Advanced Warfare."
The "Ascendance DLC," scheduled to arrive on March 31 to Microsoft game consoles, would bring in new locations, weapons, and enemies to fight. The game's map would now add four new locations listed as Site 244, Climate, Chop Shop, and Perplex.
One of the highly anticipated parts of the update is the arrival of new weapons. Gamers would finally get to try their hands on the OHM Werewolf custom variant and the OHM directed energy light machine gun hybrid.
As the "Advanced Warfare" is set in the future, these two weapons seem to be the perfect addition to fight off gamers' attackers which now include an endless number of the undead. It would be unwise to fend off zombies using classic and vintage pistols or guns built since the World War II era.
According to Gaming Bolt, however, a tweet from Sledgehammer Games official, Michael Condrey, sparked rumors that a new weapon would be added to the initial two reported.
On March 23, Condrey uploaded a photo on his Twitter account of an antique-looking pistol captioned, "Happy Sunday #intel." The photo had a watermark that said, "Advanced Warfare," which led many to think that the pistol would perhaps be introduced in the upcoming DLC.
Condrey or anyone from Sledgehammer Games and Activision has not issued any statement regarding the said pistol.
Whether it would be included or not, fans need not be disappointed as the developers behind the famous game listed their top five guns for the series.
In a report on Game Spot, Condrey revealed that the best weapons for "Advanced Warfare" are the following:
1. ARX-160 - Hole Puncher
2. Ameli - Heavy
3. HBRa3 - Insanity
4. Bal-27 - O.Steed
5. Pytaek - Loophole
The basis for the ranking was on the kill-to-death ration each weapon produces.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One users would soon be able to check Condrey's list soon as the "Ascendance DLC" arrives at the end of the month.
The update would be available to PC and PlayStation owners next month.
For mobile users keen to check out this famous first-person shooting game, a version for smartphones and tablets was released. The "Call of Duty: Heroes" are now available for download to iOS and Android systems, said Game N Guide.
