Popular boy band One Direction is rumored to be splitting up and new reports have tossed further fuel to the fire.
A few days earlier the publicist of the British group confirmed that the 22-year-old singer was headed back to the UK to recuperate following all the stress he's been under. Malik leaves his bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan to continue with the on-going South East Asia tour and perform in the Philippines and Indonesia without him.
"Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate," quoted E! Online of the released statement. "The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."
The stress was caused by reports that insinuated the popstar has cheated on his fiancee, Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, while in Thailand. Photos circulated showing the One Direction member engaged in PDA with another woman.
Malik's bandmate Liam Payne made light of the situation during a recent press photo moment where the 21-year-old covered Malik's face on a poster.
Over Twitter, the Brit posted the image with the caption, "#makinglightofasituation sorry for the laughs guys."

The reaction to the post were mixed and per Celebuzz Payne promised that he didn't mean anything by it and he was just making "light of a situation."
Zayn Malik Finding A Way To Quit The Band?
In a new report published by the Daily Star, the popstar is reportedly in talks with his lawyers to see if there's a way to bow out of his One Direction contract and move on from the band.
"At the moment he's convinced he wants out. He is finding it all too much and wants to quit the group," quoted Hollywood Life of a source who spoke to the Daily star.
"His legal team is seeing what the situation is. There is a strong chance he will have to fulfill his commitments and he might change his mind once he's had time away from the spotlight," added the insider. "But as it stands he's not keen to continue."
This isn't the first time that Malik has walked away from a performance. In an earlier report, Realty Today wrote about how Malik walked off stage during an Australian performance which bandmate Niall Horan explained to be due to an illness.
