"Divergent" series actor Theo James has revealed who he'll be rooting for in the upcoming mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
With boxing's biggest match up is set to happen in a month and a half, the English actor has revealed he's a major PacMan fan.
According to Inquirer.net, the Hollywood Superstar said to Star Talk, "I'm a huge, huge Pacquiao fan and I have been for a long time."
"Manny Pacquiao you're an incredible boxer, great personality and good luck but you don't need it, you're a legend."
While the 30-year-old would love to see Pacquiao take on the undefeated American boxer, unfortunately he won't be able to catch the Las Vegas showdown in person because of a wedding he'll have to attend the following day.
Divergent Sequel Details
Following the massively successful release of "Divergent" last year, Theo James and co-star Shailene Woodley are back for the franchise sequel titled, "Insurgent."
Speaking to Hero Complex during a recent interview, James shared a bit more about what fans can expect from the film and the experience he had with Woodley.
James and Woodley agree that the sequel is more emotional "but not in a cheese way," added James.
"There's real stakes behind it, and sometimes that's hard to find in spectacular situations. If you're watching these movies that are spectacles, which are fun and it's about this thing and escapism, sometimes the crux of the emotionality gets lost. That doesn't necessarily sometimes matter, but we are trying to retain that with this film," explained James of the upcoming film.
"Insurgent" was released in teachers March 21 and has already generated over $50 million domestically during its opening weekend.
The young adult sci-fi trilogy is based on the series written by author Veronica Roth beginning with "Divergent," followed by "Insurgent" and concluded with "Allegiant." Per E! Online, taking a cue from other franchises, the third book will be split into two parts, with "Allegiant Part 1" set for release March of 2016 with Part 2 due out March 2017.
Summit Entertainment delivered the following statement:
"[Author] Veronica Roth brings her captivating story to a masterful conclusion in Allegiant, a rich, action-packed book with material that is ideally suited to two strong and fulfilling movies. The storytelling arc and world of the characters lend themselves perfectly to two films, a storytelling strategy that has worked very well for us on the two Twilight Breaking Dawn films and about which we're tremendously enthusiastic for the two upcoming Mockingjay films of The Hunger Games franchise."
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are set to face off on May 2 at Las Vegas' MGM Grand in what is expected to be the single biggest boxing event in history.
