Houston Rockets Guard Jason Terry Relists Mercer Island Property for $2.4 Million

Jason Terry, guard of the Houston Rockets, teamed up with Andrea Zambrano to get his Mercer Island property up on the market. Terry actually purchased the house 11 years ago for $2.36 million, and he is now selling it for only $2.4 million.

According to Realtor, minus taxes and certain fees, Terry may barely break even. He might even lose a particular amount of money on the sale. Despite this dilemma, The Houston Chronicle is convinced that Terry’s property is actually priced a lot higher than the $1.695 million median price assigned to that particular area.

The Puget Sound Business Journal said that it may not matter, though, since the housing market in Seattle is hot right now, and that expensive price tags “are not scaring buyers away.”

However, the same could not be said the first time Terry wanted his house up on the market, as indicated in the report. He listed the property before but no one wanted it. Now, though, the weather seems to be good for making a sale, and Terry wants to take advantage of that.

It is believed that Terry might have been unlucky with his first listing since the home had a “weird” vibe, according to Yardbarker and Busted Coverage. The property is actually a three-floor turret-style building connected to yet another three-floor covered building. Taking a look at these two structures, there were two highly noticeable and distinct designs.

It has a two-storey foyer that allows for a dramatic entrance into the house. Although the mansion only has three floors, guests do not have to use the stairs since it has its own elevator facility.

The house spans over 6,600 square feet and has six bedrooms - each of which has its very own bathroom. The master suite is located on the mansion’s top floor, while another master suite can be found on the lower level. It also has its own state-of-the art theater, three well-distributed fireplaces, a wine cellar, and outer grounds that span for almost three acres.

Terry went to Franklin High School and was immediately dubbed as the school’s basketball star. He was scouted to play for various teams on the NBA, such as the Atlanta Hawks, the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks, before he settled with the Houston Rockets. He was even among those who helped the Mavs land the championship in 2011.
