One Direction Disbanding? After Zayn Malik, Harry Style To Quit Next? [Rumors]

As fans have yet to digest the fact that Zayn Malik left One Direction, it seems that another band member is also on his way out. Reports circulated that Harry Styles would soon follow suit and quit the famous band.

Just a few hours after it was confirmed that Malik would not be returning to One Direction, some rumors surfaced that the group would soon disband and the next to leave is Styles.

The 21-year-old has long been rumored to be keen on pursuing other interests outside One Direction, and this sparked reports that he would soon quit the band even before Malik left.

However, it seems that Styles is determined to stay put and stick it out with the rest of the gang. According to a report in Hollywood Life, the British pop singer is very excited to have more projects with One Direction.

One source close to the matter said, "Harry is interested in acting, writing for other artists, and doing some solo work, but he has made it clear to the other guys in the band, as well as Simon Cowell, that he is down to do all that and still remain in One Direction."

The insider added, "He is not going to leave the band. He is happily enjoying the ride and looks forward to continuing with them for years to come."

Another source said that Styles is already doing some of the things he wants to do now even as a one-fifth member of the band.

"He's already been writing for other acts and with singers like Meghan Trainor," said the source. "He knows all these opportunities have come to him because of 1D, so he doesn't want to turn his back on that."

Meanwhile, Styles became very emotional at the Indonesia leg of his band's "On The Road Again" tour as news broke out that his friend, Malik, left them.

A report in The Daily Mail noted that the 21-year-old cried openly while on stage and Liam Payne reached out to him and placed his arm to comfort the singer in tears.

Malik left the tour suddenly before it reached the Manila leg due to "stress." His departure also came in light of online photos of him shown being close to another woman. The picture left a question mark on the status of his engagement with Little Mix singer, Perrie Richards.

In spite of Malik's absence, the band vowed to fulfill all obligations and continue their group.

A statement released by the band said, "The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."
