Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Release Date on Mar. 28 – Price, Where to Buy Details [Pics]

The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG has made a comeback into today’s market. Despite the competition with today’s more modern-looking shoe designs, the Jordan brand opted to keep the shoe’s classic look.

On its release at 10 a.m. on March 28, Saturday, it will still be featuring a very clean, white leather upper portion with a glaring varsity red color for its swoosh branding. This same crimson color can also be found on the collar lining of the design as well as on its heel tab and outsole. It will feature a re-mastered version of its iconic low silhouette and its signature wings logo that can be found right on its heel. It also has its original Nike Air logo on its tongue. The pair will cost $130.

Since 2015 marks the 30-year anniversary of the Jordan brand, this could only mean that the Air Jordan 1 will also be celebrating its birthday.

Just last month, shoe collectors witnessed the launching of a re-mastered Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG in a “Bred” color scheme, followed by a similar design with a white and grey color combination. The color way of the “Bred” design fully resembled the classic color combination of the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan’s team on the NBA, which are varsity red, black, and white.

Another OG color way in various Nike retail stores will be released this weekend, the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Varsity Red,” which actually first debuted in the market in 1985, as reported by Kicks on Fire.

Sneaker News stated that the only thing missing with this re-mastered look is a metallic sheen to the design’s swoosh branding. However, the company promised that traditionalists will have something to look forward to.

Only a couple more days are left before the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG finally goes back on the shoe stands. However, those who would like to get more than one pair of this model will most likely be disappointed due to the one-per-customer purchase limit, according to Latino Post.

Avid collectors of the Air Jordan are expected to flock to shoe stores this weekend just to get their hands on this re-mastered iconic shoe design. Plus, the red and white color scheme will serve as a reminder for an older shoe model that collectors consider vintage.
