One piece of advice, fellows: For the time being, you may want to keep yourself from getting in the way of your teenage sisters, or girlfriends, or just anyone you know who's into the music of some "London-based, English-Irish pop boy band"... Never mess with them lest you bear the brunt of a sinister outburst coming from a distraught and demoralized fan who may want to let out some steam.
This isn't the best of times for them and, mind you, hell hath no fury like a 1D fan scorned.
The devastating news of One Direction boy band member, Zayn Malik, calling it quits and leaving the band recently broke out, and breaking the hearts of their legion of fervent and loyal followers, in the process.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Malik announced his departure from the band he played with since his 2010 stint in "X Factor" Britain. USA Today was one of the news outlets first to report about the story.
"My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.
I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world", Malik said.
The unexpected move has left a profound effect not just to the millions of 1D fans, but to the four people who have shared the spotlight, and most time with Zayn -- his ex-bandmates. The DailyMail mentioned about Harry Styles breaking down in tears onstage during their Jakarta, Indonesia concert.
But the five-crew pop group-turned-quartet assured their fans that their own journey as a band will continue. On their official Facebook page, the band wrote: "After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year".
"We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future. The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends. The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour".
Meanwhile, it seems like life goes on for Zayn as he was reportedly spotted house-hunting with her fiancée Perrie Edwards of Little Mix. According to Now Magazine, the couple was seen shopping around for what could be a place for the couple to share with. They tried looking around in some London estates.
This story has also cleared things up as to the real score between the two amidst the alleged "cheating scandal". Zayn was pictured together with an Essex blonde in Thailand. He was quick to dismiss the issue and aired his side on Twitter; "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f**** in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x", he posted.
