‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Finale Spoilers: Few Surprises & Sad Losses Coming, Who will Die?

“The Walking Dead” Season 5 finale episode airs on Sunday and fans are already expecting that there will be at least one loss, as per every season of the hit AMC show. Fans of the show are now curious on which character will bite the dust next.

According to Carter Matt, there is a high possibility that Deanna, played by Tovah Feldshuh, will be meeting her demise. That way, Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, will gain more power over the Alexandria Safe Zone.

Killing off an important character in the show’s last episode is a signature move of the show. Taking this into account, fans are now afraid that either Daryl or Carol might die in the upcoming finale episode. Although this may sound unlikely to many viewers, it is not entirely impossible, considering that the show has shocked its fans so many times before.

“You can rest assured that not only walker blood will be spilled,” executive producer Gale Ann Hurd told Entertainment Weekly. “There will be a few surprises and some sad losses that no one, I think, will be able to predict.”

Apart from future character deaths, Hurd also revealed a few details about the other characters within the ASZ. As seen in the promotional video clip for the next season, Carol pulled out a knife and threatened Pete with it.

Pete already assumed that he was no longer in danger after his incident with Rick was resolved. As it would turn out, however, he was not out of the woods just yet as Carol, who was working undercover, still had it in for him.

“Well, you know, he deserved it,” said Hurd. “As far as I’m concerned, any guy who beats up his wife to the point that his son has to lock himself in a closet deserves that – and probably a lot worse.”

“But, no one suspected it,” she added. As bad as Rick can be, Carol could actually be an even more dangerous foe because she’s undercover.”

The incident with Pete, and Deanna’s recent disregard for the newcomers after what Father Gabe told her, formed a rift within the community. According to Hurd, the people of ASZ might have to pick a side. “We’re seeing more of the division, not only among the Alexandrians and our group, but ‘within’ our group as well,” said Hurd.
