'Assassin's Creed: Victory' Update & Release Date: Game Set In Victorian London?

Less than six months since Ubisoft came out with the "Assassin's Creed: Unity," talks of the next installment in the franchise have been growing abuzz. Word is out that the company behind the historical fiction action-adventure videogame is coming up with a new setting for their upcoming title release, "Assassin's Creed: Victory," in hopes of getting more fans back into the game.

"Assassin's Creed" started as a very popular game that spanned into eight titles and more spinoff games. However, the success of the franchise dwindled with the developers' recent release with many fans which expressed their disappointment on "Assassin's Creed: Unity."

However, Ubisoft seems determined to get over that flop with its upcoming title. According to Master Herald, the company behind the video game is now working doubly hard to fix what went wrong with their eighth title to ensure fans' support and excitement.

This was perhaps what inspired the developers to find a new setting for the game. Reports came out that the "Assassin's Creed: Victory" would be moving from the era of the French Revolution to Victorian England, specifically in London.

A leaked gameplay trailer sparked the rumors of the new setting. A report in Crossmap noted that in the video, the game's lead character was seen on his way up the Tower of London.

The caped assassin then jumped from the tower and fled on a horse carriage where he met a woman whose face was covered with a mask. This woman handed him his first mission to take down a known child trafficker.

In Dec. 2014, Kotako came up with a theory that the upcoming "Assassin's Creed" is called "Victory" as a code name for the game's new location which is the English Victorian period.

Meanwhile, other reports claim that Ubisoft decided to come up with only one title release for 2015. Ecumenical News noted that it seems that the company behind the franchise wants to focus all their energy and efforts in ensuring the upcoming title gets out with excellent quality unlike what happened with "Unity."

Some gamers expressed their hopes that with no pressure to come up with another game after "Victory," the developers could finally use all the time to add new gameplays and features to the game - something that was not met with the release of "Assassin's Creed: Unity."

"Assassin's Creed: Victory" is expected to come out in 2015. However, no exact date has been given by Ubisoft as to when fans could specifically expect to get their hands on the anticipated game.
