One Direction New Album 2015: Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, The Cribs Working with ‘More Mature’ 1D?

Reports that Zayn Malik is already starting to work on his solo music career since leaving One Direction began to surface all over the Internet. Although he is no longer in the band, he will still be working under Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco.

Meanwhile, One Direction will be resuming with the band’s plans which include two more albums and a Greatest Hits album, according to Daily Mail. A source confirmed that they are “due to start recording their fifth album next month.” Now that they have all turned 21 years old, they are also going to venture into making more mature music.

“Ed Sheeran will contribute material to the new album again, as will more adult rockers – The Cribs, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, and The Madden Brothers,” said the source, according to Daily Star.

Malik, 22, is the oldest in the group and known as 1D’s biggest urban fan. The rest of the band seemed to prefer guitar pop. Now that they all have the same interests, new changes will be applied to the current “On the Road Again” tour. Any applied change will be seen when the tour restarts in Cardiff on June 5.

“The show is already workable for a four-piece,” the source added. “But, elements will change when there is a break.”

“Had a sit down last night the label,” Niall Horan wrote on his Twitter page. “Started organizing our writing sessions of the next month. F*** yeaaaaahhhh! Can’t wait!”

The remaining One Direction boys will be working on tackling the vocal parts that Malik left. He was the one who hit the beautiful high notes of their songs such as in “You and I” and “Steal That Girl.” Plus, the band and crew have a lot of merchandise to update since they are now a member short.

“The next two months could be the busiest ones in their career,” revealed the insider. Their busy days will reportedly begin after their gig in Dubai next week.

Although the band is clearly trying to keep up, some fans are enraged by the fact that Malik just upped and left. The band is presently facing backlash from disgruntled fans overseas. According to the report, fans in South Africa even resorted to ripping their concert tickets into pieces in protest of Malik’s exit.

The British and Irish singers were scheduled to perform in Cape Town on Saturday and Sunday but many of their fans in the area are already dismayed.

“I have had to wait a long time for this,” said a 19-year-old fan. “I paid to see five boys – not four. They should cancel the tour instead of perform without him.”

Malik may have decided to leave the band but he insisted to The Sun that the door has been left open for him to return to the band anytime.
