It seems that Scott Disick is determined to save himself and his family from getting further affected by his alcohol problem and has taken steps to achieve it. The 31-year-old reality TV star reportedly revealed that he would soon return to a rehabilitation facility to help him with substance abuse.
The longtime beau of Kourtney Kardashian was seen out and about in a party on March 27. This was the first time the father of three was seen out in a party after his brief stint in a Costa Rica rehab facility early this month, said Yahoo.
Reports of Disick leaving the facility only after seven days sparked news that he ditched it because he could not take the treatment. However, the reality TV star was quick to set the record straight.
In an interview with People magazine, Disick expressed his desire to return to the Rhythmia Life Advancement Center again. He also clarified the rumors of his one-week stay.
"The funny thing is, a lot of people were under the impression that I was going to this rehab facility in Costa Rica for a month, when the truth was, I was going for a week for one treatment that they have there," said the reality TV star.
He added, "I'm not done. I plan to go back to this place."
Kourtney's boyfriend described the center as "amazing" and "very therapeutic." He also noted that the reason he chose that facility is because of a very specific treatment he would like to try.
The center uses, "Ibogaine," a root endemic in Africa in treating people with drug or substance abuse problems.
"It kinds of resets the receptors in your brain and kind of helps you kind of remember and look at your childhood and gain knowledge on what's gone wrong that makes you want to either drink or do drugs or whatever it may be that compensates for what you're not getting," explained Disick.
The treatment was what the reality TV personality underwent for seven days.
He added, "It helped me dramatically to see some of the things that have troubled me in the past, but I'm not done. I plan to go back and I hope it helps me even more to get to a point where I'm fully cured of some of things that I struggle with."
Always the "life of the party," Disick reportedly got on Kardashian's nerves as he continued his party boy ways even after the birth of their third child. This sparked rumors that the reality TV couple are on their way to splitsville.
According to a report in Radar Online, the two started sleeping in separate rooms as a result of Disick's ways and are "close to formally breaking up."
