Fans of Kobe Bryant's shoe collaboration with global sports brand Nike would soon be treated to a vibrant and playful colorway for his tenth shoe design. Nike recently announced the arrival of a Kobe X "Easter," which features bright colors for the famous sneaker.
The upcoming colorway is part of the "Easter" collection of the basketball shoes that would feature other designs from the brand's signature shoe collection. Coming in bright and vivid colors, one look at the new collection would remind one of the colorful Easter eggs that are famous during the said holiday.
Listed officially under Nike as the hot lava/ sunset glow/ black color, the Kobe X "Easter" still boasts of the technology that made Bryant's tenth signature shoe a favorite among fans.
According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the colors combined for Bryant's shoes were inspired by the bright colors of a robin's egg. A look at the shoe and its two-toned, simple, and classic colorway pops out.
The distribution of colors was carefully thought of as a layer of pink tones neatly distributed in between splashes of bright teal, thereby giving the sneaker a classy look in bright colors.
The shoe's upper textile comes in a hot lava-colored seamless material. Like other Kobe X shoes, this part of the sneaker is built with a thick layer of fuse placed underneath the mesh.
Meanwhile, a teal-colored full length lunar and zoom air unit at the heel provides cushion and softens the impact of every step. It is also equipped with the same traction that comes with every Kobe X shoe that provides a strong grip on any surface to avoid slipping.
The same teal color is found at the shoe's tongue and laces.
A tinge of black contrasts the otherwise bright hue of the sneaker. From a black swoosh logo to the heel, the touch of dark color adds extra character to the sneaker that looks good enough to eat.
The new design is part of the "Easter" collection, which features other latest designs of Nike's signature shoe line including Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and LeBron James.
Kobe X "Easter" would hit Nike retail stores and Nike.com starting April 2. It would be sold at $180 a pair.
For those who want to grab the pair a little earlier than others, some have taken to Kixify and eBay to sell the shoe, said Kicks on Fire.
