Air Jordan Shoes 2015: AJ 5 Retro ‘Metallic Silver’ Release Date, Price & Where to Buy Info [Photos]

The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Metallic Silver” was first launched in 2000. Now, it is making a comeback into the highly collectible shoe design market just pretty much in time for the beginning of summer.

It sports a very clean, all-white upper portion made of leather with metallic silver shades that accentuate its look. It also has a reflective tongue that makes the entire design even more interesting.

The newly re-mastered Air Jordan 5 Retro “Metallic Silver” will be out by April 4 this year in Nike retailer stores and will be available in full family sizes, as indicated in Nike. GS sizes will be priced at $140, the PS at $80, the TD at $60, and the GP at $45. Its standard adult size can be purchased for $190.

It appears that the Jordan Brand has developed a knack for re-mastering the former retro color ways they released in the early 2000s, as pointed out by Sneaker News. Shoe collectors rejoiced when new versions of the Air Jordan 7 and the Air Jordan 4 were released earlier this year, while the Air Jordan 5 finally found its time to shine today.

Featuring its signature premium white leather base, metallic silver accents are seen flanking the shoe’s midsole which matches the shiny hues seen on its reflective 3M tongue. It boasts of a very clean appeal, which is actually in stark contrast to the more traditional black/metallic design.

Furthermore, it features a 23 PE stitching with an icy outsole that makes the design more unique. Its entire look may be designer worthy but it is actually a mid-top basketball classic, especially with the “23” branding on the tab of its heel, as indicated on Hypebeast.

Kicks on Fire pointed out that photos of the re-mastered Air Jordan 5 Retro “Metallic Silver” have made their way into the Internet in the past couple of weeks but avid readers only officially saw the new design recently.

Other collectors want to get this particular design to replace their old Air Jordan 5s. “Might have to cop these as a replacement to my old ones,” a collector wrote.
