Demi Lovato and long-time beau Wilmer Valderrama are set to announce big news, says a new report.
Per E! Online, while the couple, rumored to be nearing an engagement, isn't about to reveal an upcoming wedding. Marc Malkin disclosed that the lovebirds will be working on a movie together.
Aside from being a project they'll both work on, another element that makes this project incredibly special is the fact that per the report, the feature film will mark Valderrama's directorial debut.
"I won't be able to [shoot] it this year because this year's pretty much gone with my schedule but early next year, I'll probably be directing my first big film," said the "That '70s Show" alum while promoting his indie film project titled, "The Girl Is in Trouble"
"I'm going to be in it as well. When I did Larry Crowne and I saw that Tom Hanks could direct, produce, write and star in a movie all at the same time, he kind of gave me hope that it was possible for me to do, too. It's all about scheduling, management of your time and having good partners who will tell you when your take sucks," he continued.
The actor also commented when asked if his girlfriend would be appearing in the film's soundtrack, he teased fans by neither denying or confirming the news.
"You're very smart," he replied. "I can't confirm but her and I are definitely looking forward to doing a bunch of things together and it will come together once we make an announcement in the next couple of weeks."
How Wilmer Saved Demi's Life
Earlier this month, the "Heart Attack" singer celebrated a major milestone in her life. Us Magazine reported that two weeks ago, the "Camp Rock" star celebrated being sober for three years and the singer was candid about how Wilmer has been instrumental in her success.
A few years ago, the "This is me" singer struggled with bipolar disorder, substance abuse and eating disorders and Wilmer's has been her rock through it all.
Following a post by Wilmer on Instagram congratulating his ladylove on how far she's come, the "Let it Go" singer shared a few words of her own about Wilmer.
"I wish I could put into words how grateful I am for this man right here. But my love has grown to a level that words could never possibly express how much this man completes me. He's loved me the way I never thought I deserved to be loved and with this day marking my 3rd year sober... After sharing my ups, putting up with my downs and supporting my recovery... he still never takes credit and I want the world to know how incredible his soul is. I really wouldn't be alive today without him. I love you Wilmer."
Engagement rumors have rampant in the last few months and as reported earlier, Wilmer was quick to squash the rumors but did say it's something he looks forward to. He then added: "You know, who knows?"
