World Wrestling Entertainment fans would now have another thing to be excited about. Word is out that the popular video game inspired by the sport will soon arrive in mobile devices, so anyone could play his or her favorite wrestlers even on the go.

According to a post in the WWE site, the upcoming WWE 2K would see the popular video game come to both iOS and Android gadgets. Therefore, even if gamers do not possess game consoles, they would still be able to play John Cena, Hulk Hogan, and all the other superstars in their devices.

The good news to fans is that the "simulation-based game" hopes to give players an "authentic gameplay in a mobile format," said Game Spot.

The developer behind the mobile version, 2K, aims to achieve this with getting pretty much all of the features found in the console version added to the mobile edition, so that players would be able to enjoy the game regardless of the platform they use.

Among the features expected to arrive in the mobile version of "WWE 2K" are the following:

  • "Playable roster of many fan-favorite WWE Superstars including John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Triple H, Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt"
  • "Authentic WWE action, including three match types, full WWE Superstar ring entrances and comprehensive move sets"
  • "Create-a-Superstar"
  • "Career Mode"
  • "Live Multiplayer Matches"
  • "Unlockable Rewards"

While the upcoming "WWE 2K" is not the first WWE game to hit mobile devices, it is set to be one of the highlights of the franchise's collaboration with 2K.

Visual Concepts President Greg Thomas noted, "WWE 2K marks a great milestone on 2K's partnership with WWE, as we bring the first authentic WWE simulation experience to market for mobile devices."

He added, "WWE gaming enthusiasts will soon experience WWE action and several fan-favorite modes inspired by the WWE 2K flagship console series in an engaging way."

Other WWE games available for mobile devices are "WWE Supercard" and "WWE Immortals," noted Tech Times.

The upcoming mobile game by Visual Concepts and n-Space would soon be available for iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It would be sold at the Apple Store for download. Meanwhile, Android devices would be able to access the game through the Amazon Appstore.
