Manny Pacquiao Net Worth: Pacman's Family Moving To Beverly Hills in April: Should They Be Worried of Earthquake Phone Scams?

Manny Pacman Pacquiao's family will be moving to their new Beverly Hills home in April, but with the recent news about earthquake phone scams, should they be worried now?

Pacman's Family On the Move

With Pacquiao's net worth of a $110M, he was able to purchase another home in the U.S., apart from his L.A. Mansion seen on MTV Cribs.

Jinkee, Manny's wife, confirmed their plan of moving first week of April to Connie Sison of GMA Network in an exclusive interview. Jinkee wanted their family to enjoy their new house for at least a month before Manny fights Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 2. Even their real estate agent, Nick Enciso, admitted to The Inquirer that he is expediting the papers so that they will be done before the family sets foot on the Beverly Hills Mansion.

Security Scare

Manny's main reason in purchasing this Beverly Hills home which was formerly owned by P. Diddy, was to give them their much needed privacy and security. In an August 2013 ABS-CBN report, Manny revealed that his LA Mansion, a Hancock Park estate, had been robbed not just once.

Lately, a news item released in LA Times, mentioned that Beverly Hills residents are now warned by the police to take caution in answering phone calls. The outlet noted that a scammer posing as a city official from a "City of Beverly Hills Commission Group" would call and offer a home inspection to assess earthquake damage.

What Makes Beverly Hills a Target?

Beverly Hills is one of the 10 most lucrative areas in Los Angeles, California according to a 2014 report by Curbed. By just looking at Zillow's map showing the current listing prices in the area, one would see that most of these are worth millions of dollars. Scammers who would be able to get inside a Beverly Hills Mansion can easily rob the owners of really expensive possessions.

Should Manny and his family be worried?

Manny and his family will be moving to a gated-community, so the family will be more secured. Aside from that, with this announcement that serves as a warning, plans of these scammers would be derailed as people are now more aware of their motives. Security is also expected to be more tight now.

According to LA Times, one should call the number (310) 550-4951 to get in touch with the police if they receive similar suspicious calls. "Calls claiming to be from the city of Beverly Hills should be verified," advised the Police Department. "Do not provide personal information, no matter how pushy and aggressive the caller may be."

Manny's only worry right now is to prepare for his boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
