Xbox Live Gold Free Games for April 2015: Child of Light & Pool Nation FX for Xbox One, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag & 3 More for 360 Console

A major perk with having a $60-per-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold is getting free games each month. Microsoft’s usual releases of one free game for the Xbox One and two for the Xbox 360 have just been doubled for April this year, with two free Xbox One games and four free Xbox 360 games.

According to The Fuse Joplin, the mega tech and gaming company will be gifting “Pool Nation FX” from Cherry Pop Games and “Child of Light” from Ubisoft to Xbox One gamers. Also, Xbox 360 users can have free access to “Gears of War: Judgment,” “Terraria,” “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag,” and “Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel.”

“Pool Nation FX” is actually a pretty simple pool simulator that has 12 unique game modes in its single player mode and a play-for-cash mode in its multiplayer mode. It has some interesting points that feature amazing effects that somehow justify the power of the Xbox One, according to Cheat Sheet.

“Child of Light,” meanwhile, became an indie hit when it was launched last year. Its very unique characters and addictive game play choices made it among the games praised by game critics despite its micro DLC purchases and standard RPG mechanics.

“Terraria,” a sandbox indie game, can be downloaded from April 1 to April 15 for absolutely free which saves Xbox 360 users around $35. In this game, players are tasked to fend off enemies with various options for weapons, including an axe, a short sword, and a pick axe.

In “Gears of War: Judgment,” gamers can shoot their way to freedom as Lieutenant Damon Baird. It is a third-person shooter game first released in 2013, and has a military-themed science fiction premise.

Xbox 360 gamers are also given a chance to relive the missions of Alpha and Bravo in the 2013 third-person shooter video game, “Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel.” Normally, this game can be downloaded at a price of $50. However, with an Xbox Live Gold membership, it can be obtained for free, as indicated in Christian Today.

One of the bigger games Microsoft is giving away is the “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.” It is an action adventure open world stealth video game with a historical fiction premise. In this game, the players are given a chance to experience the Caribbean back in the 18th century through the eyes of the notorious pirate Edward Kenway.

A good thing about the Xbox Live Gold membership is that gamers can redeem their free games even if they do not have their game consoles yet. Once they do get one in the future, they can easily find their free games in their account.
