With how things are shaping up, it looks like funnyman Jonah Hill is getting really serious about disposing of his New York property.
Variety reports that the better half of the "21 Jump Street" franchise's Hollywood duo has reportedly ceded to a lowered price tag for his Soho apartment. He trimmed down as much as $300,000 and re-listed it at $3.5 million, the DailyNews New York notes.
Jonah acquired the property back in 2012 for $2.65 million. The DailyNews New York exclusively got a scoop on the loft's initial listing on the market, which was revealed to be almost $4 million.
The actor had a change of heart and it was then pulled off from its listing. It was, eventually, offered as a fully-furnished rental for $14,000 (cut back to $12,000) according to Variety.
The current listing of the 2,000 square foot full-floor loft is courtesy of Jared Seligman of Douglas Elliman. The main selling point of the unit is its prime location in the coveted Soho neighborhood where Crosby Street traverses Howard Street. Take a peek at the colossal windows and you will be treated with the overlooking view of the celebrity magnet cobblestoned Crosby Street.
The Soho property is situated on the second floor of a charming cast-iron building which is just a stone throw away from all the choicest boutiques and shops, restaurants, and galleries the prime neighborhood can offer.
The interior of the loft features high ceilings that go up to 13 feet in height, exposed white bricks, the original hardwood flooring used when it was first built in 1915, and a fireplace. It also has a chef's kitchen and classic marble bathrooms. The archetypal appeal of the house is maintained while giving off a hint of modern feel upon its renovation. The amenities also include centralized air conditioning and a washer dryer.
The deluxe loft is originally set up as a two bedroom and two bathroom unit but was currently so arranged as to feature a bigger master suite and a smaller secondary sleep area. The unit can be easily re-configured to its original state, though.
The California native turned movie star is now estimated to have a net worth of $30 million as per CelebrityNetWorth. His career took a major upward surge in 2012 when his supporting role performance in the movie "Moneyball" was recognized by numerous award-giving bodies, not the least of which are the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes. He duplicates his strong showing in the big screen with another nomination for the Oscar's best performance by an actor in a supporting role last year with his critically-acclaimed performance in "The Wolf of Wall Street".
