With Lil Wayne's net worth of $140M, it's no wonder that the rapper, producer and music executive can afford and maintain a Miami Beach mansion.
However, according to some sources, due to recent events concerning security, Lil Wayne has decided to sell his property, TMZ notes. Yes, this 15,000 sq.ft of dreamy mansion can now be yours for $18M.
The outlet previously published reports about pranks that happened in the rapper's home, including "a swatting prank, a random prostitute at his door, and a random guy hanging around outside."
But, Lil Wayne's broker, Ty Forkner of South Beach International Realty, told NY Daily News that the artist is not selling it because of the pranks. Rather, Forkner stated that the rapper is letting it go because the "Miami market is hot."
"It has nothing to do with the recent prank calls or anything like that," Forkner clarified.
Still, Frontdoor.com provided a different reason why Weezy is selling the property which he bought in 2014 for $14 million. Citing AOL Real Estate, the site claimed that the rapper is looking "to settle a $5.6 million federal tax lein."
Stunning features
The rapper's wonderful La Gorce Island property, if bought for $18M, would give Wayne an equally wonderful $6.4M profit from what he paid for it in 2006, NY Daily News notes.
Even though it has a rather unusual history that may or may not have haunted the rapper, the stunning property is something worth looking into. A would-be-buyer may consider the sprawling Miami property as one's home with its nine bedrooms, apart from the three bedrooms inside the guesthouse with a glass elevator as the outlet mentioned.
A remarkable feature of this Miami mansion is a skate park on the roof which will probably leave the spirited artist's mark on the beach home, notes NY Daily News.
Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., grew up in Hollygrove, New Orleans, says MTV.com. Although he is more known today as the famous rapper behind "Go DJ," "Fireman," "Shooter," "No Worries" and "Love Me," he was a straight-A student who made music as his venue to express both his intellect and artistry.
