'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' Trailer, News & Plot: Jesse Eisenberg Talks Lex Luthor Role, Was 'Terrifying'

"Social Network" actor Jesse Eisenberg has been tasked to play Lex Luthor in the upcoming superhero blockbuster "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and the actor has opened up about what the experience has been like.

During an appearance at the Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 31-year-old actor admitted that playing the DC villain has brought about a lot of firsts. He specifically set as an example having to have his head for the role. Eisenberg described the experience as being the "most terrifying" thing he's had to do for the highly-anticipated flick.

"I came out of the womb with a full head of hair, so I've never been able to touch my scalp - yes, it's freezing!...It's really strange. You want to wear a helmet," the actor said (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"It's really strange. You want to wear a helmet. ... It's terrifying," he admitted.

He went on to reveal that the entire team behind the film has basically been sworn to secrecy with many actors walking around with disguises. Meyers then recalled a recent snapshot of Eisenberg that circulated wherein he was spotted wearing a flora-printed bandanna to cover his head. However, "That makes Lex Luthor seem so much less intimidating," chimed in host Seth Meyers.

"It's like E.T. in the basket, basically," Meyers said.

Jesse also revealed that "Superman, you know Henry Cavill, he'll walk to set in kind of baggy sweatpants and then take them off and he's wearing the suit," Eisenberg said.

"I think you'd want to walk to set not in full Superman," responded Meyers. "Because Superman is so much less interesting if you have to stop at craft services and get pasta salad."

The movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is directed by Zack Snyder and stars other actors that include Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aqua Man and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure, other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course," Snyder to Entertainment Weekly about Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.

The film is scheduled for theater release in March 2016. A trailer was rumored to have leaked online but an official one has yet to be released.
