'American Horror Story' Season 5 Spoilers: Possible Hotel Setting for Show

Hotels are the go-to place of foreign tours, business trips, local junkets, or just weekend staycation hangouts. It is that modishly cozy, if temporal, reprieve who welcomes just about anyone who needs a place to stay outside of home.

But you might just change your perception of it with the upcoming fifth season offering of "American Horror Story" (AHS) subtitled "Hotel". The FX Network has confirmed that a 13-episode AHS season 5 will be airing this October 2015 as told by The Wrap in their article the previous year.

No Horror Story For The Producers

The fourth season, "American Horror Story: The Freak Show," is officially the most watched series in the network's history, according to The Wrap. The season premiere alone has garnered 10 million views toppling the previous record set by the premiere of "Sons of Anarchy" season 7 early in 2014.

"The 'American Horror Story' anthology has had the highest growth trajectory of any show in FX history, not to mention an unprecedented track record of success in awards recognition," said John Landgraf, CEO of the FX Network.

Spoiler Alert: Hotel Setting

Some avid followers of AHS have already come up with their own theories as to the possible setting for Hotel. But for MoviePilot.com, Hotel California, which was allegedly referenced by The Eagles in their 1977 single, is a strong frontrunner. The San Francisco hotel is said to have been purchased by the infamous Church of Satan founded by Anton LaVey in 1966.

The site also cited The Crescent Hotel and Spa in Eureka Springs, Arkansas as a potential candidate. The property, which was built back in 1886, is said to house no less than eight spirits, and was dubbed as "America's Most Haunted Hotel" by many.

Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach, California also made the MoviePilot list. The shipping vessel turned hotel is as much historic as it is haunted, with its ghost stories about children playing in the nursery, murdered passengers, and a lady in white.

The Garden of Allah Hotel and the Cecil Hotel were also mentioned in the article as potential setting of the story.

An Ensemble of Both New And Familiar Faces

American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga will spearhead the cast of "American Horror Stroy: Hotel" which will be a blend of newcomers and previous actors of the show.

The lead actor of the upcoming season is Matt Bomer who also appeared in "The Freak Show". He will be joined by fellow returnees Chloe Sevigny (2nd season) and Wes Bentley (4th season) as reported by the Ecumenical News.

Meanwhile, Emmy-award winner Jessica Lange of the 3rd season (Coven) is unlikely to be part of "American Horror Story" season 5, but did not rule out a possible return for the later seasons as per director and co-creator Ryan Murphy.

A Fresh Offering For The Fans

Landgraf told TVLine that the coming season will be "very different" from the others in their hopes for further improvement of the thrilling series.

"One of the things I love so much about that is that it can be radically, radically reinvented in terms of tone, setting, period, characters, cast... I think there's going to be an unusually large reinvention in between Book 4 and Book 5 relative to, say, between Book 3 and 4", Murphy hinted.
