Tennessee Titans LB Brian Orakpo Selling $1.1M Virginia Home

Brian Orakpo, the three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher is the newest member of the NFL Tennessee Titans as a line backer after he and his former team, the Washington Redskins cut ties. Orakpo has accepted a four-year contract deal with the Titans for a whopping $32M, with $13.5M guaranteed, notes Washington Post.

Meanwhile, Orakpo is all set for this new challenge and new path in his career as he is selling his Virginia home for $1.1 million, reports Realtor.com.

Orakpo's three-story home, measuring almost 8400 sq. ft., has six bedrooms and five baths. Included in the home are three fireplaces, custom-built book cases, a large kitchen, a three-car garage, a game room and a breakfast bar.

The Virginia home boasts a combination of traditional and modern architecture that is easy on the eye. The home, which was built in 2006, consists of wide and open floor plans, wooden floors, distinct columns, curved entryways, and high-set ceilings.

Would-be buyers who are athletes or health buffs will appreciate Orakpo's weight room. After a rigorous workout, one could relax by dipping in the whirlpool spas. Bookworms may even find solace in the home's library.

However, the real treasure in the home is hidden in its almost 2,200 sq. ft. basement, designed like a cool entertainment area having billiards and a theater room. A family room and the home's weight room are also found in the basement.

Realtor notes that Orakpo had purchased the home for only $940,000 in 2009, based on property records. That was quite a steal from its previous price of $1.46 million in 2006.

The home is nestled in a family-friendly and private neighborhood that offers amenities such as "900 acres of open space, miles of walking trails, parks, a butterfly garden and a community center with a swimming pool, fitness center and meeting room," according to the Washington Times.

Realtor adds that there are schools within 1.5 miles to 7miles radius like Sycolin Creek Elementary School, J. Lupton Simpson Middle School and Loudoun County High School.
