‘Frozen 2’ Release Date & Plot: Who Will Be Elsa’s Love Interest? Will It Be Jack Frost, Prince Hans or Flynn Rider?

Ever since Disney confirmed that "Frozen 2" is happening, fans of the "cool" animated film have been in great anticipation of what they could expect next. Speculations and theories have been on the rise and most of them center on Elsa's potential love interest in the upcoming sequel.

It comes as no surprise that many fans of the movie would want Queen Elsa of Arendelle to have her own beau. After all, younger sister Princess Anna has found her own in the character of Kristoff. While this might be a great plot to explore in the second film, the question on who is the best fit for the Snow Queen has become a concern for many.

Luckily, fans of the film are creative enough to think of possible love interests for Elsa.

According to a report in Venture Capital Post, one of the names for Elsa's potential suitor that kept cropping up is Jack Frost. He is a fictional character which became famous in the movie "Rise of the Guardians."

Jack Frost might be a good fit for Elsa as both could control winter and have no problems with the cold. The only concern would be their differences in personalities. Elsa is the serious type and is decribed as very responsible as she is a queen, while Jack Frost is more of a prankster. However, these issues could easily be handled.

The main concern with this love story is that Jack Frost is created by DreamWorks while Elsa is from Disney. In spite of this, some fans cling to the hope that if a crossover would happen for the movie, then he is the best character to do it with.

Meanwhile, an article in Crossmap enumerated all the other possible love interests for Queen Elsa.

The next one on the list is Flynn Ryder. This character is a far more realistic partner for the queen since he was part of Disney's animated film, "Tangled." However, he is already in love with Rapunzel which means that it might not be wise to break away their love team to pair him with Elsa.

Prince Hans' name also came up - the same Prince Hans who almost led to the death of Anna in the first movie. In the sequel, however, it is speculated that he has finally seen the error of his ways and had a change of heart.

Disney has yet to confirm any of these rumors and it remains to be seen if the sequel would indeed focus on a love story between Elsa and another man.

"Frozen 2" is scheduled to hit theaters in 2018.
