Activision has confirmed that this year' new title release is being developed by Treyarch. Following the announcement, many are wondering what could be in store for the new game.
Over its Twitter page, Treyarch posted a message about the news saying, "COD in 2015 confirmed. We look forward to carrying on the conversation... that is, if we haven't started it already. #InDevelopment." Treyarch is the team behind successful games including the "Black Ops" series and the "World at War" games.
According to Lazygamer, as part of the promotions for the upcoming titled, widely believed to be the third installment of the "Black Ops" series. "Call of Duty: Black Ops II got an update recently, adding a mysterious little touch to the console versions," wrote the website (video below).
Sources who have played the game say that the "ghost pictures" are unique links to the Call of Duty Snapchat account and as of now, the only thing you can get from the account is a message that says, "listen only to the sound of my voice" then you'd see a quick footage of a blinking eye and some woods.
"Black Ops III" Happening?
Per our earlier report, online sites have analyzed that Black Ops may be what Treyarch is currently working on.
A recent analysis has revealed that "recent successes have set the stage for the hotly anticipated fall release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," which will most likely be unveiled in May with a release by November.
In a recent discussion about the 2015 title, Express UK reported that Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said: "Our 2015 guidance on Call of Duty's new release is flat year-over-year, but we still have a fairly conservative planning assumption. We have Treyarch developing the game. We'll have a larger installed base of next-gen hardware to sell into, and we believe our Q4 new release can be one of our best games yet. So we think the future is bright."
As it stands, there has been no confirmation on what the title could be but it's widely rumored that it could be either "Black Ops III" or a new "World at War" title.
Which series are you rooting for? Do you want a new "Black Ops" title or one for "World at War?"
