'GTA 6' Release Date, Plot & Rumors: One Big World Coming? Rockstar Linking 'Vice City' to Other Grand Theft Auto Cities?

It has been just a few weeks since Rockstar Games released the much awaited "Heists" to "Grand tHeft Auto V" and fans of the popular video game are now looking forward to what's next for the franchise. Rumors have circulated that the upcoming sixth installment would feature not just one city, but an entire world for the fans of "GTA."

According to a report in Christian Today, Rockstar Games president Leslie Benzies revealed in 2012 that the company behind the famous video game is already looking into what could be done for "GTA 6."

Benzies noted that the planning team has years' worth of ideas. However, what stuck to followers of the franchise is his statement wherein he mentioned the possibility of having one big "GTA" world where characters could travel to and from cities introduced in past games.

"Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," said the president.

While this might be a great idea, it might not happen anytime soon for the franchise. According to Air Herald, the developers might not be too keen on "experimenting" too much on each new title.

With the delays caused by the recent "Heists DLC," it might also take a long time before a "GTA" world happens. However, with the brains at work for the title, fans can never lose hope.

One thing that seems to be a huge possibility in the franchise's next title is that it could return to a "much-detailed and revamped" Vice City.

Benzies was quoted to have said that a return to Vice City is not a distant shot. "It is always a possibility. There are a few references t the city in our current-gen 'GTAs' so it is part of that HD universe, and it is certainly somewhere we would love to revisit," said Benzies.

The Rockstar Games official also noted that if ever "GTA" returns to the location, it is not because they could not come up with other locations but more of "the era as the setting."

Meanwhile, other fans speculated that San Fierro and Las Venturas might be the settings for the sixth title but it remains to be seen if the game would be set in any of these old places or in an entirely new location.

"Grand Theft Auto V" will arrive to PCs on April 14.
