‘Avengers 2: Age of Ultron’ Release Date & Plot: Marvel Getting Rid of Post-Credits Scene? Film Makers Shifting to Mid-Credits Tag!

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” director Joss Whedon just confirmed that the audience will have no post-credits scene to look forward to. Instead of compelling the fans to sit for 10 more minutes for that final tease, they decided to insert the special scene shortly into the credits.

“There is nothing at the very end,” Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. “And that is not a fake out. We want people to know so they do not have to sit there for 10 minutes and then go, ‘Son of a b***h! I will kill them!’”

This has actually been viewed by the franchise fans as a relief. No matter how exciting the footage will be, waiting for it long after the film has ended is not something anyone would refer to as fun. Despite the official announcement from Whedon and Feige, it is expected that many will opt to stay through the credits - just in case. After all, Feige previously promised fans that “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” will be packed with surprises, as reported by Collider.

It was also previously reported that Linda Cardellini and Julie Delpy were added into the cast. Screen Rant is convinced that based on the movie’s series of trailers, one of them will be playing the role of the instructor of a young Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson.

Fans also speculated that Feige might have decided to include Captain Marvel or Carol Danvers in the second “Avengers” film. However, Feige already quashed those rumors. Still, he did hint that he will be introducing a new character into the movie. However, he did not divulge much details about it.

“It is not a big deal,” he said. “But, it is a good character.”

It is definitely good news that the movie will be hitting theaters in less than a month. This could only mean that fans will know more about what is in store in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster pretty soon.

Furthermore, it was confirmed by Cinema Blend that “Good Morning America” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will be party to a huge announcement regarding the “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.” The cast will be promoting the film with Kimmel on the April 13, while they will be assembling on “GMA” on the 24th.

This might not mean that all members of the cast will be making an appearance. Although it is highly likely that their contracts compel them to be present on such promotional appearances, the hectic schedules might have gotten in the way for some of the stars.
