The NFL rumor mill has been churning out scoops and hearsays thick and fast amid the looming 2015 Draft and at the height of the continuing Free Agency saga. The teams' general managers are very much in the thick of things as they try to bolster their rosters, and make the most out of this offseason. Some of the free agents and other players, on the other hand, are involved in trade talks and negotiations, whereas others have already been on the move.
While some players were getting cut off from their teams, one free agent, concurrently, has been deemed a bad contract" and someone, apparently, wants him booted out, but on a whole new different scenario.
TMZ Sports has an exclusive report about this not-so-little dilemma of NFL wide receiver Greg Little. The property owners of a Hollywood Hills luxury rental have reportedly been trying to get him out of their unit.
To put things into perspective, the 25-year-old American football player agreed to terms with the landlords to lease the place in January, this year, for a tidy sum of $15,000 in a month. And now, he is being evicted from the three-bedroom bachelor pad for failing to pay a month's worth of rent.
The landlords are claiming that Mr. Little renege on his obligation when the check he gave them bounced, TMZ reports. They, then, decided to give an ultimatum for him to sort things out -- the six feet, two inches-tall and 220-pounder athlete should either pay them or move out. But, when they get no favorable response, the owners decided to file a cease and desist order to keep the big guy from staying within the compound.
Greg fired back and told TMZ Sports that he was, to the contrary, the true victim of the situation.
"When you pay for a high dollar house, you want everything to be smooth". Greg went on to saying that "stuff was breaking left and right" during his stay on the house. And, allegedly, the owners are not doing anything about it.
This is the reason why he said to have deliberately refrained from paying the rent to his landlords. Greg asserted his right to be treated fairly, and hinted that the owners' claims were unfounded.
The North Carolina native was the second round, 59th overall pick of the Cleveland Browns back in the 2011 NFL Draft. He is currently a free agent after he was released by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Stay tuned for further development on the report.
