'American Horror Story' Season 5 'Hotel' Updates: Cast Lady Gaga Hunting for an Apartment

It's still well over six months leading into the highly-anticipated October 2015 return of "American Horror Story" season 5, "Hotel", but speculations were already rife as to the possible hotel setting, and who's-in and who's-out in the show's ensemble of actors.

The avid followers of FX Network's fastest growing show in terms of viewership -- with AHS season 4 "The Freak Show" already running away with the title as the network's most watched series to date -- is clamoring for more updates.

And, the people behind the show, led by director and co-creator Ryan Murphy do not disappoint.

Mr. Murphy just took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm that one of AHS mainstays Kathy Bates (AHS season 3: "Coven" and AHS season 4: "The Freak Show") is returning, and she will be at the helm of the hotel's operation.

The seasoned and multi-award winning actress will join American pop superstar and songwriter Lady Gaga. Although, her character is still a mystery, she has already asked her fans to book their "hotel reservation" as early as now.

The "Born This Way' and "Poker Face'' singer is also reportedly house hunting for a penthouse unit in Manhattan's Upper West Side area, as told by Page Six. Lady Gaga wants the new home to be located within the vicinity of her childhood home, where her folks are still living in.

For the past years, she has been living in a Central Park South apartment where she pays $22,000 in monthly rent.

About a year ago, Lady Gaga invited MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway into her New York City apartment. The posh duplex was previously home to fellow singers Liza Minnellli and Tony Bennett. The unit also comes with a "rooftop view overlooking Central Park".

"The most important thing to me about this place is I can come out here and stand outside. That's the best thing. I miss going outside," she told Calloway.

On the sad reality that she has to be in disguise most of the time whenever she goes outside, she added "such is life, I'm blessed in many ways."

Gaga is now willing to drop $15 to $20 million for a new place that she can call her own, and one she'd share with her fiancé.

One source said, via page Six, that the singer wants a property measuring "around 4,000 square feet, with high ceilings and outdoor space."

Lady Gaga just got engaged back in February with her long-time beau and NBC's "Chicago Fire" actor Tom Kinney. The announcement came via her Instagram account post with the caption, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!".
