Fans of Michael Jordan's signature shoe collaboration with global sports brand Nike would soon have not just one but two shoes to be excited about. Word is out that Nike is coming out with different colorways for the Air Jordan 11 Retro and the Air Jordan 29.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Grey Mist" would hit stores on April 11, stated Nike.com. Also dubbed as the "Georgetown," the shoe's color design gets its inspiration from the rivalry between Michael Jordan's college team University of North Carolina Tars and Georgetwon Hoyas, said Kicks on Fire.
Simplicity is seen all over the sneaker with two distinct colors, midnight navy and grey mist. The shoe's upper comes in grey mesh while the lower base comes in midnight navy patent leather.
The shoe's midsole looks very clean in white finished with an icy white outsole. A thin black line separates the midsole from the outsole and adds another tinge of color to the classic looking design.
The tongue also comes in grey mesh and a Jordan "Jumpman" logo, found at the inner lining and the outside tongue, completes the look.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Grey Mist" is available in adult and grade school sizes. Adults could get the shoe for $140 a pair. Meanwhile, kids could choose from grade school sizes at $120, preschool sizes for $75, and toddler sizes at $55.
Meanwhile, the Air Jordan XX9 is coming out with a "Playoff Pack" that gives wearers two-color combinations to choose from.
The shoes, which are coming out on April 15, would arrive just in time for the playoffs. The upgraded FlightPlate and a one-piece upper material make the shoe the lightest among the Jordan brand designs, said Nike.com.
According to Sneaker News, the blue colors were inspired by Oklahoma City Thunder point guard, Russell Westbrook. It is reported that the NBA player is soon coming out with his own "Westbrook 0" shoe for the sports brand.
The "Playoff Pack" comes in two unique designs, the "Home" and "Away" kit. Both designs feature a wavy print on the upper. The "Home" kit features white and grey prints with turquoise lining, outsole, shoelaces and number "23" on the tongue.
The "Away" kit comes in a black upper with white print. The blue lining, tongue, and midsole remains, while the outsole comes in icy white. The shoelaces come in black as well as the number "23" on the tongue.
The "Playoff Pack" would be sold at $225 per pair and would soon be available in Nike.com and select retailers.
