Now that we've see the new Apple MacBook Air with Retina Display, could it be that Microsoft is ready to unveil its highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Following last year's model, the Surface Pro 3, various outlets are reporting that the tech giant may unveil its next-gen device during this month's annual BUILD developer's conference.
Microsoft has recently unveiled its newest product, the Surface 3 laplet, which has offered some improvement over it predecessor and with the new reports, we could see another laplet soon.
Per DigiTimes (via NextPowerUp), "sources from the upstream supply chain," indicate this month's annual event could launch the newest Surface Pro. The device is said to enter mass production sometime in June and will be released alongside the new OS, which is set for a global launch this summer.
Previously, it was being reported that the laplet would be released in the fall, specifically sometime in October when the Windows 10 becomes available. Keep in mind that as of this report, Microsoft has not confirmed the release of the tablet.
The Surface Pro series is widely regarded as one of the top hybrid laplets in the market.
Ecumenical News has shared that speculation indicates the Pro 4 will be getting a major upgrade from the existing model. The news of the unveiling follows the price drops the Surface Pro 3 has been given. Bundle packs along with price slashes are being offered, a move that many believe indicates the arrival of a new product.
The Surface Pro 4 is expected to come with Windows 10, 2K Display, LTE capabilities and Intel's new Core M Processor. It is also rumored that the Pro 4 may come in two sizes, a 12-inch model and a larger 14-inch device.
Other rumors peg the device to be LTE-ready with Xbox game streaming support, a 3.5-MP camera with 8-MP rear-facing snapper and enhanced battery performance. Lastly, there are reports that a better stylus may come with the laplet given that Microsoft has acquired a new stylus supplier so we could be seeing upgrades with regards to this crucial accesory.
The BUILD 2015 kicks off on April 29 so we could see the newest Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in a matter of two weeks.
