Reality star Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from husband Lamar Odom in December 2013 and after over a year with no movement, the case may be dismissed. It seems after the 30-year-old filed the divorce, Lamar never responded to the case and Khloe never made any follow up action.
Per Radar Online, in October Judge Scott Gordon informed the Kardashian that the court filed a case review default due to "failure to take any action in the case."
"Khloe has been told by her attorney, Laura Wasser, that she could file a motion to have the divorce granted, even though Lamar hasn't formally responded," revealed an insider.
"Becoming legally divorced would allow Khloe to move on, while lawyers for the former couple hash out a financial settlement," they added. "However, Khloe has held off on taking that drastic step."
Kourtney Hung Up On Lamar?
In a report, Hollywood Life notes that Kim Kardashian's sister has until the end of the month to make a move or the case will be thrown out. However, the publication also shares that the reality star doesn't have it in her to finally end her marriage to Odom, 35, whom she still considers to be her soul mate!
"Khloe loves Lamar so much. She's convinced he's her soul mate and that they have a special deep connection," said the insider and added, "But then she sees his actions and shady behavior and she backs off. If he would just get his act together she would 100% call off the divorce permanently. It's as if he forced her to file for divorce, but she always hoped that just by filing he would get scared and act right."
The "Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons" celebrity filed for divorce over a year ago after rumors of Lamar's substance abuse and infidelity surfaced. It is rumored that the former NBA star has been continuously trying to get back together with his ex-wife.
"She's had so much time to finish the divorce off, but for one reason or another she doesn't. She keeps creating reasons why she won't divorce him like she wants more money or she procrastinates and says she will do it tomorrow," continued the source.
Khloe and Lamar married in September 2009 after dating for a month.
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's sister has been linked to rapper French Montana in an on-again-off-again relationship since filing for divorce.
