Even before the release of the "Pitch Perfect" sequel, news of a third film has hit the internet.
As "Pitch Perfect 2" arrives in theaters next month, Amy Kaufman of the Los Angeles Times has reported via Twitter that a third film is already in the works. Kaufman writes that actress Rebel Wilson confirmed her involvement but the return of franchise star Anna Kendrick remains unsure.

"News: Rebel Wilson just told me there will be a 3rd @PitchPerfect and she recently signed on to be in it! (She doesn't know abt Kendrick.)," wrote the reporter over social media.
In an earlier interview with Elle Australia, the 29-year-old actress -- better known as "Fat Amy" -- spoke about how her career has affected her personal life. She admits sacrificing a love life to further her career.
She also adds that while she's a natural at comedy, she isn't cracking jokes every waking moment.
"Most people who know me know I'm not switched on all the time. I don't like to be like that in real life, because it's draining. If I'm how I am as Fat Amy all fucking day... I can be sometimes, but I'd be a psycho if I was like that 24/7. You gotta chill out and just be normal for a bit, I say."
In addition, she also spoke about her Hollywood friends:
"I have a lot of celebrity friends. But they're all Hollywood friends. You can't call them if you fall over and break your leg, but if you're having a BBQ and wanna chitchat, you hang out with them, or you go to their house."
"Pitch Perfect 2"
The excitement surrounding the second movie is at an all-time high as it follows 2012's instant cult classic, "Pitch Perfect."
"Pitch Perfect 2" is scheduled for release in about a month on May 15. The movie, directed by Elizabeth Banks, stars Kendrick, Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Skylar Astin.
For those that want to know more about what the Bellas, Banks revealed what the film is about. She tells Yahoo! Movies, "They're coming to the end of their time as Bellas and figuring out how to sort of leave the nest and the comfort of each other's friendship and figure out what they're going to do with the rest of their lives."
