The LG G4 is allegedly getting a new leather finish, per an online leak. An online source has just dropped the news that the new flagship smartphone will have a new cover offering, among other things.
Well-known tech source Evan Blass shared over his Twitter account a picture of the upcoming device as well as specs from an unofficial product site.

The microsite (removed by LG) dedicated to all things LG G4 has listed the full renderings, marketing materials and claimed product specs of the phone.
In great detail, information about the flagship device was unveiled but the features may have been mixed in with the specs of the earlier model, the LG G3. Two specific features shared which seem highly unlikely include the supposed 13-MP rear camera along with a pre-programmed OS of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The LG G4 is expected to come with a rear 16-MP camera and it's highly unlikely that the firm will release a new smartphone that won't be loaded with at least the Android Lollipop.
LG G4 Specs and Features
The report reveals that the G4's back will provide a larger range of color option, that includes multiple option of leather shades. AndroidCentral reports that the listed colors for the leather back include "metallic black, silk white, shine gold, burgundy red and moon violet."
In addition to the pop in back color, other "under the hood" specs include an improved snapper. The supposed leather-clad smartphone will have a 5.5-inch Quantum display that is similar to the 4K TV technology unveiled by LG during the CES held earlier this year. LG G4 user will be happy to know that its f/1.8 camera will come with an infrared color accuracy sensor, image stabilization, dual flash as well as a completely manual mode for those who want to have better control over their photographs.
Basing on the release of the LG G3, following the unveiling event, we should have a global release shortly after, probably within the month of May.
The technology giant has already announced that the LG G4 will be unveiled as a global affair, the introduction will take place on April 28/ 29, in New York City, Paris, London, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul, reports GSMArena. LG's invites emphasized the tag, "See the Great, Feel the Great." More information regarding the features, appearance and price is expected to be revealed at the global event.
In the teaser video spanning 43-seconds long, we see that the f1.8 aperture sensor will be one of the highlights of the next-gen smartphone.
