The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been followed by various speculations on what features the device might sport. Earlier reports indicating the unit would be armed with a 4K resolution technology might have been attempting to mislead the crowd.
According to Value Walk, the upcoming Samsung flagship phablet will be based on an Ultra HD technology with 3840 x 2160, and not a 4K resolution technology. This could only mean that its display panels will be marginally less detailed. Still, despite the possibility of this happening, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will still be at par with the other similar devices that can be found in the market.
That said, it remains to be seen whether or not Samsung’s competing brands will be releasing a 4K resolution mobile soon. The device’s rumored Ultra HD version will certainly put the Galaxy Note 5 ahead of the iPhone range. Apple’s latest addition to its line of devices, the iPhone 6 Plus, features a full HD display, which is less detailed than the Ultra HD version.
Christian Post has confirmed that the upcoming Samsung device will be launched in two versions. The regular variant will be sporting a 5.89-inch flat display, while the more advanced one will be featuring a dual-edge 5.78-inch display screen.
Apart from the display, according to the rumor mill, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will also have an octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 4000 mAh battery, and 4 GB of RAM. Plus, the main camera will reportedly feature either 18 or 21 megapixels, while the secondary photo taker on its front will have either five or six megapixels.
These aforementioned specs sound so good, but other reports say otherwise. Other sources have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will come with the Korean tech company’s own Exynos 7420 chipset. According to the report, this particular chipset will be shipped out for phablet users in Europe and Asia.
The report continued to state that the upcoming Samsung model will come in different storage options that range from 16 GB to 128 GB. Despite the differences in storage memory, all units will come with a microSD support feature, which can easily be upgraded to 128 GB.
The device is expected to come out by the fourth quarter of the year, which means that production might start sometime in August. Plus, the device might even be revealed when this year’s IFA consumer electronics trade show begins in Berlin. To date, there is no confirmation regarding the unit’s actual price.
