Jeremy Maclin New Contract & Net Worth: New Chief Sells New Jersey Home for $350K

Jeremy Maclin is setting foot on Kansas City as one of the Chiefs after playing with the Philadelphia Eagles for six years. As he leaves Coach Chip Kelly's NFL Eagles, he puts his New Jersey home on the market for $350K, reports Realtor.com.

With his new five-year contract of $55M---$22.5 million guaranteed---as a new Chief in town, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer, the value of his home is just like a drop to the expected salary Maclin is going to get. Maclin's new contract is worth almost four times his impressive net worth of $15M, as seen on Celebrities Money.

Even though the New Jersey home is not worth millions of dollars, don't be fooled. There are interesting features in the Maclin home that would-be buyers may be interested with, Realtor.com assures.

The two-story home is big enough for a medium sized-family with its four-bedroom capacity and available 2.5 baths. The master bedroom even boasts a walk-in closet and a spacious tub. The home covering a little more than 2500 sq. ft. also includes a two-car garage, says Realtor.com. Inside the brick home, the kitchen offers "Corian counters" and some stainless-steel appliances. Wide windows also accent a formal living room. The fenced Maclin home also gives soon-to-be new owners an almost 700sq.ft of space for interesting projects they may do in the room.

"Outside, you'll find a two-tier deck with a hot tub overlooking an ample backyard, which is fenced. The home is also a mere 12 minutes from Philadelphia," Realtor.com details.

The Philadelphia Eagles' move not to sign the 26-year-old Pro Bowl wide receiver came as a shock to many fans, says Bleacher Report. The six-foot, 198-pound player was even the first-round pick six years ago, the outlet adds.

Andrew Reid of Kansas City Chiefs has outbid the Philadelphia Eagles by paying $1M more per year, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. This is not Reid's usual style but he has worked with Maclin before for four years and knows what kind of player he is, says the outlet.

The Kansas City Chiefs Coach said at the NFL owners meeting, "He's a good player. He's a good person. Those were the two primary things. He's probably right at the prime of his career right now. And he knows the offense.

Do you think Reid or Maclin made the right decision? We'll find out soon enough.
