The divorce of celebrity couple Bobby Flay, 50, and Stephanie March, 40, is pushing on full steam ahead. The pair were spotted on Monday, the first time since their news of the on-going divorce hit an all-time high.
E! News reports that while March was spotted walking down the streets of Manhattan, the celebrity chef was seen in Tribeca hunting for apartments.
Flay is said to be looking for a bachelor pad in Tribeca's Sterling Mason building, reported TMZ. The popular kitchen master is contemplating between four units available and the price tag for the high-end home ranges from $9.65 million to a whopping $24.5 million.
The site notes that the property offers a number of luxurious amenities that include a private fitness facility, children's playroom, underground parking as well as a library and courtyard.
Flay-March Divorce
It was confirmed on Thursday that the 10-year marriage of the celebrity couple has come to an end as Flay filed for divorce last week.
The court documents detail that the decade-long union had "broken down irretrievably." An insider revealed that the pair tried everything to save their marriage and another described Flay as "heartbroken" because he still "cares about" his Stephanie.
The pair signed a pre-nup prior to their marriage and TMZ details that Stephanie is entitled to $5,000 monthly as spousal support in addition to "a million bucks for rights to the house along with moving expenses."
Daily Mail details that the settlement is becoming bloody as the "Law & Order: SVU" alum has accused her former spouse of "bullying through economic warfare."
March is currently the primary caregiver to her mother who has been diagnosed with cancer. According to March's lawyer's "Bobby won't let her and her sick mother Laura Derby stay in their $8m marital Manhattan home unless she signs a press release alleging their split was amicable."
As a counter, March and her lawyers are allegedly threatening to air Flay's marital infidelity as a means to renegotiate the term of their settlement.
The divorce is a third for Flay and a first for March. Flay was previously married to fellow chef Debra Ponzek and Kate Connelly.
Bobby and Stephanie separated last month. They have no children together.
Bobby Flay is estimated to be worth about $20 million.
