Ever since Rockstar Games announced that "Grand Theft Auto 5" is arriving to PC, fans of the franchise have taken a long period to wait patiently for the game. Now that it's out, some players wasted no time to do what they do best: create mods. Word is out that the first mod for the PC version has come out and it has a lot of exciting things in store for the gamers with just a simple press of the button.
According to IGN, a modder of the popular video game has already come up with a comprehensive cheat code that could be used by any player using the PC version. The code is called "LinGon PC Trainer," which is after the Swedish gamer's alias who came up with it.
The cheat code brings back to the game some classic features players have been asking for. It includes infinite ammunition which gives players advantage because they would not need time off just to reload. If the infinite ammo is not enough, the mod also allows players to have infinite health which could benefit players if they need more time to finish missions.
The "LinGon PC Trainer" also removes wanted leveling and hands out extra cash if the player is running low on finances.
Perhaps one of the best tricks the cheat code brought is the ability of characters to have super skills. These include the option to "teleport to waypoints," to become very fast, acquire a driving ability only unique to Franklin's character, and even engage in "bullet time."
The cheat code could be downloaded online. However, Game N Guide reported that its Google hosting is currently not available. The number of players trying to get access and who downloaded the file were too much for the hosting site to handle and it has already reached its download limit "for up to 24 more hours."
Players who want to download it would have to check back in once in a while to see if it's already up.
Once downloaded, the trainer must be set to the keyboard's F1-F9 buttons to activate it, wrote Game Rant. However, this posed a bit of a concern as a few of the said keys are also being used in the Rockstar Editor. A fix could be done by transferring some of the controls used in the video editor to another set of keys.
The codes are great in the single player game but it might be removed if players try to use it in the multiplayer "GTA Online." Rockstar announced that it would do everything it can to remove mods that would interfere with the gameplay in the online version.
"Grand Theft Auto V" is now available for PC.
