The "Real Housewives of New York City" star Ramona Singer has decided to rent out the Hamptons mansion which she co-owns with her estranged husband, Mario Singer, this summer, reports Variety.
The price for leasing the Singers' estate is $320K for the whole summer, which is about a third of its original price in 1995, when the Singers bought it for $875K , says Variety. However, for short vacation stays, the rental for the home may be negotiated as $55K for weekly rents, adds the blog.
The Southampton home, a pond front property, measures roughly 7,000 sq. ft. having six bedrooms and six baths, secured by high hedges and grown trees. The Hamptons mansion sits on almost one and a half acres of land. The home offers a formal living room, formal dining room, and a modern kitchen equipped with an island.
The charm of the house may lie on its sky-lit family room inviting bonding moments within the members of the family. There is also a basement that has a game room and entertainment area containing a 70-inch television set.
Outside, aside from the pond and superbly-manicured grounds, come a large swimming pool and a tennis court. The home also includes a two-car garage.
Variety notes that this is the property where Ramona allegedly caught her husband cheating on her. It was in January of last year that news broke out about Mario's alleged infidelity and his affair, as mentioned on People.
Ramona tried to hold on and the couple seemed to be working their issues out past March, notes Huffington Post, citing Ramona's declaration of love towards her husband on Bethenny Frankel's show.
"Really, right now, I don't know where this is going. I have myself, I have my friends. I know my husband loves me, he knows I love him, and we'll see what will happen, you know? Nothing is set in stone, life is an evolution. And again, ladies and gentlemen, as long as you feel good about yourself, you can handle anything."
Yet, in some way, her statement seemed to indicate that she was restraining herself from saying something. Eventually, Ramona released her emotions through Twitter about her plans to end their two decades of marriage, reports Huffington Post.
This happened just a day after In Touch published a picture of Mario eating out with Kasey Dexter, a fitness instructor he was rumored to have had an affair in earlier reports, adds the outlet.
In Ramona's twitter post, she said, "I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life."
Recently, Ramona appeared to really have moved on as she told Huffington Post that, "Being betrayed by your spouse is probably the worst thing that can happen to anyone, and it humbled me big time."
