Every basketball fan is excited now that the NBA Playoffs 2015 is here. Check USA Today's detailed schedule so you will not miss a game of your favorite team.
With the playoffs kicking off, basketball fans who are not going to see the actual games can still have fun by hanging out with friends and family while watching the games together. There's no better way to do it, is there? Watching with loved ones who are fanatics themselves just doubles the fun and the excitement.
So if it's your time to host a game day home party, don't fret, we have lots of ideas to help you.
Decor Ideas
You may like to print the playoff schedule in a bracket form on the wall to make as a cool poster and a reminder of the playoff timeline as well. Here's a sample from NBA Playoffs Bracket.com.
There are also amazing NBA wall decal stickers like the ones on fathead.com. Some even look like the players are real and ready to move any moment. But if you don't have them, you may just make your own and print them on quality paper. You may also cover them in acetate or plastic so that they will last the playoffs season. Just note that some of your friends may not be a fan of some teams so it is better to use your judgment on what to print.
For an even greater idea, just ask your friends to come in their own creative "NBA fan" attire. Wear a jersey or a cap and even sport some removable tattoos if you like.
Some Short Games
Game within a game? Yes, because for some sports aficionado, watching a playoffs game is actually too intense that sometimes you need to have a short ice-breaker. Ask any fan, they are probably more nervous than the one playing.
You may have a bingo game during long commercial breaks. Check out RachelRayMag.com for cool instructions.
One may have little guessing games like " Who get to score first?," "First one to see a watching cool fan," "Who will be the first to make a foul?," "Guess who will make the first free throw?," "Will he shoot that free throw?" The price may just be simple stuff like a chance to pick his favorite sweet in a candy bowl or another slice of pizza.
Food! Food! Food!
Since most would be glued to the TV, better prepare some food which are easy to eat. There are cool Game Day Grub ideas on Food.com. Most of the people liked the tailgate club sandwich suggested on the site, although several may find the buffalos tempting and even filling.
On RachelRayMag.com, the salami anti-pasti seems appetizing. Still, simple pizza, pasta, tacos, chops and lots of beer or softdrinks will be a welcome treat.
Just relax, the most important thing here is that all of you get to see the game. So just make sure your TV is working and see if the speakers are fine, too.
