'iPhone 7', 'iPhone 6S', 'iPad Pro' Release Date & News: Leaks Confirm New Products Using High-Tech Metal & Sizes [Rumors]

New images of Apple's upcoming products have leaked online and they indicate that both the next-gen iPhone and iPad Pro may be using high-tech metal for its body.

According to Value Walk, a source has put forth that the oversized tablet will use the same material that will be used for the iPhone 7, expected to be Apple's 2015 smartphone upgrade.

The upcoming iPhone has been hotly discussed over the internet with many speculations arising over release dates, names and specs. The next iPhone, dubbed to be the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7, follows the massively successful iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

In addition, the publication writes that there is also speculation that the Cupertino-based firm may delay a new phone release to 2016 to maximize on the commercial success of the most recently released iPhone devices. However, such news should be taken with a grain of salt given that Apple has always released one new model each year, 2014 marking the first dual-variant model release for the tech giant.

The two devices are believed to use the same aluminum material, the "7000 series," and according to Archy-news, "The effective use of aluminum isn't a huge innovation by itself the present-series already makes considerable utilization of this metal. However, that material which Apple is planning to make use of within the build from the apple iphone is considerably more powerful than average aluminum. 7000 Series aluminum can be 60 % more powerful compared to normal material based on Apple, which performed a significant role in the choice for the Apple Watch."

"7000 Series" aluminum is an alloy made of zinc and aluminum and with the use of the Sapphire glass currently featured in some components of the Apple iPhone, the upcoming devices are likely to be extremely durable and as hoped for by Apple fans, will take on more shock-resistance qualities as well.

ValueWalk goes on to detail that the material was chosen by Apple due to its durable quality. Tech news followers might remember the embarrassing issue that Apple dealt with in 2014, the "bendgate" issue.

To date, there remains Apple has provided no confirmation regarding the next-gen iPhone nor the rumored larger iPad, the iPad Pro.

The iPhone 7/6S follows Apple's biggest iPhone redesign, the iPhone 6 and larger 6 Plus. With its bigger screen size, slimmer frame and improved functionality, it'll be interesting to see what features and specs Apple can add to its flagship phone.

With regards to the iPad Pro, its larger size is said to be Apple's attempt to boost iPad sales which have been trailing behind for the past four fiscal quarters. Hopefully the larger 12-inch device will be able to catch the attention of professionals, who are the intended target of a larger but portable tablet.

What do you think of the rumored durable iPhone 7 and iPad Pro?
