New details regarding the game "Mass Effect 4" may have just been leaked.
According to AttackoftheFanboy, a new survey regarding the upcoming title has been shared by Reddit user benjamin_stone and it offers some potential spoilers. It should be noted that surveys are usually dispersed to gather information on what consumers are looking for as well as to test ideas that may or may not be part of the final game.
The Reddit user wrote that last month while they were taking online surveys, they were offered an opportunity to give their opinion on the upcoming "Mass Effect" game from Bioware. The new survey provides a goldmine of details regarding the location, gameplay and character abilities we could see in "Mass Effect 4."
Below are some of the key points shared in the Reddit post:
- Four times the size of "Mass Effect 3" - According to benjamin_stone, the game take place in the Andromeda Galaxy's Helius Cluster with a story that is "far removed by time and space from Commander Shepard's heroic acts and the final events of the Mass Effect trilogy."
- Expedition Missions - The game is focused on establishment of a new colony for humanity in "untamed lands." Gamers will discover the technology of the Remnant, an ancient, powerful and mysterious race. The post also adds, "To survive and colonize the wild reaches of space, you will need to grow your arsenal, your ship, your crew and make strategic (and often uneasy) alliances to fight against increasingly menacing foes."
- Resource Collection - For enhanced weapons and technology, players can collect resources that can contribute to building your arsenal for further exploration
- Crew Recruitment - Players can recruit "seven distinct crew members to fight by your side. Each crew member has a unique personality and specific abilities that open up strategic options as you choose which two of them to bring into each mission." You can create your ideal squad -- each with their own backstory -- and upgrade their gear and abilities for improved game performance.
- Strike Missions - Given the size of the galaxy, deployed strike missions can be used by way of recruited mercenaries. You can also spend resources to develop their skills and gear.
