With six months left for fans to endure until the arrival of "Halo 5: Guardians" to the Xbox One console, more details continue to trickle in that add hype to the wait. A new trailer released recently showed Spartan Locke in a new armor that would surely excite players all over the world.
The developers of the Microsoft exclusive title have been releasing bits of information about the game in podcasts and trailers for the past weeks. Now, the latest clip to show Locke highlights a new feature that would be available for gamers should they decide to cop a copy of the game in advance.
According to Game Rant, Microsoft in partnership with GameStop would offer a bonus feature to fans of the game who would pre-order the title. The additional feature would give players an access to the Spartan Locke Armor Set seen in the recent trailer.
Upon purchase, players would be able to enjoy the additional armor set for the character once the game goes live starting October 27. However, the bonus armor set would only be available in multiplayer mode.
A post in Xbox Wire listed the full details of the pre-order bonus. It would include the following:
- "HUNTER-Class Helmet: Though still considered a prototype implementation, the HUNTER's sensor suite enhances situational and threat awareness."
- "HUNTER-Class Armor: Sophisticated and lethal, HUNTER-class armor incorporates Watershed Division's latest warfighting technology."
The bonus would only be available for copies pre-ordered via Game Stop. The online store would also throw in an extra "Halo 5" poster for those who would order through their service.
Some fans expressed concern on the bonus feature. An article in Gotta Be Mobile said that some gamers were worried that the bonus armor set would give players who have access to it undue advantage.
However, it seems that the advantage is purely physical as it was noted that "everything shown in today's video are abilities that all Spartan will have when 'Halo 5' arrives."
The bonus armor set wil provide the character an edge in its look as it would give the player unique clothing unlike others. Microsoft has not made any announcement whether the bonus armor would offer extra powers or strength exclusive to those who pre-ordered from Game Stop.
The title is also rumored to bring another bonus feature to those who would pre-order from other stores. However, no details regarding such have been released yet.
"Halo 5: Guardians" would hit Xbox One on October 27.
