‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ 2016 Movie Cast, Trailer & Characters: Anna Paquin Won’t Return if She Can’t be ‘Badass Rogue’; Cyclops & Havok Together for the First Time?

"X-Men: Apocalypse" may not feature Rogue, Anna Paquin's superhero character, but the actress is presently making headlines for making some comments about her role. According to her, she will only return to the franchise if some major changes were given to her role.

"Comic book Rogue gets to fly and I never did," Paquin wrote on Twitter, answering a fan's question. "I want to be bada** Rogue - not shy teen Rogue."

Meanwhile, the Summers brothers will be featured in "X-Men: Apocalypse." After director Bryan Singer confirmed that Lucas Till will be back to reprise his role as Havok, the Internet suddenly became abuzz. This could only mean that Havok and Cyclops will be sharing the same screen for the first time in the cinematic history of the "X-Men" franchise, according to iDigitalTimes.

"Welcome back #lucastill #xmen #XmenApocalypse #jamesmcavoy #michaelfassbender #jenniferlawrence #nicholashoult #rosebyrne How time flies! #XmenFirstClass," Singer posted on his official Instagram account.

Till's fans will be glad to know that they can watch their idol on television again, especially after the very short cameo appearance he had in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Sadly for Paquin's fans, however, she was actually supposed to be part of the same film but her scenes had to be cut out.

Screen Rant reported that Singer had to remove Paquin's scenes in the movie, leaving only the last scene that shortly showed Rogue when Wolverine already returned to the present timeline. The actress can even be observed wearing an all-white ensemble during the dystopian future ruled by the Sentinels.

After having her scenes almost completely excised from the latest "X-Men" installment, fans started to wonder whether she was still interested in making a comeback. Apparently, she would like to return but only if the movie portrays Rogue in a more powerful light, considering that she is truly an immensely powerful character who can absorb the ability of any mutant she lays her hands on.

If only Rogue was featured in the "X-Men" franchise in a much larger capacity, Marvel fans could have seen how she got the power of flight as well as incredible super strength. Although she was a petite girl, she had already been head-to-head against heavyweight mutants such as Colossus and She-Hulk.

So far, movie Rogue has not been able to develop her powers yet and Paquin had to succumb to merely being part of a love triangle with Kitty Pryde and Iceman in "X-Men: The Last Stand." At the end of the film, having reduced to nothing but a love interest plot, choosing to "cure" herself may have been the right choice for Rogue.
